As South Africa is celebrating Youth Day this month, City Logistics wanted to make a difference at Isibonelo High School through our Community Driven for Youth project.
“Our learners are provided with opportunities they never had before,” said Isibonelo High School’s deputy principal, Mrs B.O. Zulu. Through City Logistics’ Community Driven for Youth upliftment programme, learners at this KwaMashu high school gain exposure to swimming through NSRI’s pop up survival skills, soccer skills, as well as skills development through Shap Shap Cinemas, which according to Mrs Zulu “are rare in their communities.” She added that not only did their current learners benefit, but the programme afforded former learners with job opportunities too.
