‘I have been working at City Logistics for the past three years as a Project Manager, and am fortunate enough to be a sponsored athlete. I have a Master’s Degree (MSc) in Ergonomics from Rhodes University, and whilst being a full-time employee of City Logistics, I am also a triathlon coach and dedicated family man, I remain very competitive and enjoy keeping fit and healthy while trying to achieve my own sporting goals.
Initially, I started off as a Triathlete, but have now started getting more involved in other sporting codes, and try to find an excuse to challenge myself. I compete in road running, road cycling, mountain biking, triathlon and swimming events across South Africa and abroad.
Over the last six years, I have had some great results, having won my age group at Ironman events on numerous occasions, running a 2:40 full marathon, 1:18 half marathon, and getting podium finishes at multi-stage MTB races.
I have planned quite an exciting year of racing and look forward to achieving my goals while flying the City Logistics flag. A few events earmarked for the 2017 season includes:
– Deloitte’s Marathon
– Ironman 70.3 Durban
– Knysna Oyster Festival Big 5 Challenge
– Amashova Cycle Race
– Cape Town City Marathon
– Ironman 70.3 Bali (Indonesia)
– Berg and Bush
Thanks again to City Logistics for their generous sponsorship and ongoing support.
You can follow me on our City Logistics FB page for all news and race results!’
