Knysna Fire

Natural disasters have a way of destroying everything in their way, but they also finds ways of bringing people together. Donations from across the country, in all forms, shapes and sizes have been flooding in to try bring some relief to the victims of the devastating Knysna fires.

City Logistics is proudly involved in the distribution of much needed relief supplies collected nationwide on behalf of City Hope’s Disaster Relief.

City Hope Disaster Relief has partnered with the Southern Gateway Church based in Knysna and will provide much needed relief aid to the community most severely affected by the destructive fire damage.

Greg Dwyer of Southern Gateway Church in Knysna relayed the extent of the disaster, stating that 428 homes were destroyed, 40% of the homes were rented, 40% without household insurance, of those affected 80% suburbs and 20% township.  In dire need of financial support to help those who have no financial reserves to rebuild their lives.
