The Cancer Association of South Africa (CANSA) Durban is extremely excited to be opening a portion of their CANSA Tough Living with Cancer (TLC) Children’s Service accommodation in Durban on the 11 November 2014. This CANSA TLC Lodge will offer accommodation to parents and siblings of cancer patients who have nowhere to stay while their children are on treatment. It will also give parents an opportunity to take a break and come and have a nap, a shower or do some washing.
The CANSA TLC Lodge will be a self-service unit for families equipped with a kitchen and playroom/family room. It will also offer transport for the families to and from the various major hospitals or a parking facility if necessary.
Without the generous help of City Couriers who fundraised and amazing amount of R110 000.00 through their annual Golf Day this renovation would not be possible. Unfortunately due to the age of the building and the lack of maintenance for a few years CANSA are unable to complete all of the 3 rooms as originally planned. They need your help to assist them to finish this project. They need to fix up two more bedrooms, flooring for all of the rooms and passageways and a new bathroom.
If you can assist CANSA with goods in order to finish this project, would like to offer your services or make a donation to help them fulfill this dream, CANSA would be extremely grateful!
