City Couriers Annual Golf Day 19th July 2012

City Couriers recently hosted a very successful Golf Day at the Royal Durban Golf Course. Tessa Byerley of City Couriers coordinated the entire day and together with the Rubicon team, ensured that all 158 players enjoyed a fun-filled day on the golf course. A 4 ball alliance was played, with 2 scores to count and the winning four ball team was Dennis Dicks, Roger Shilaw, Graham Hitch and Paul Els.

Andre Joubert, Stuart Bird, Mark Blair and Richard Fisher

Golf Professionals were available on hire to four balls; we thank Anthony Michael, Allan Versveld, Bryce Easton, David Hewan and Merrick Bremmer for their expertise and thank MC/trickster Michael Scholz, who ensured that the entertainment continued well after the last four ball finished. Thanks also to Ian Gardener of BuDDys Designated Driver Service, who ensured that all the players could be driven safely home.

City Couriers elected LIV (Lungisisa Indlela Village) as their chosen and very worthwhile charity for the Golf Day . LIV is situated in Verulam and provides holistic residential care for vulnerable children with the core vision to rescue a child – restore a life – raise a leader – release a star. Visit LIV on or contact Mark Emmerson at LIV on 031 562 9986. A cheque for R 42 960.00 was handed to Mark Emmerson at the Golf Day and the donation will be put towards a much needed Data Projector for the LIV school and towards Rugby, Soccer and Hockey goals for the school sports field which is about to be grassed. A truly inspirational , charitable organization.

However, we foremost wish to thank our clients for supporting our Golf Day and to our most generous sponsors to whom we are most grateful. Very generous prizes were donated from hampers, tool kits, shopping vouchers, golf kits, clothing through to Tsogo Sun holidays, Gowrie Farm holidays, meal vouchers and cell phones. We are so appreciative to each one of our clients and associates for making it such a memorable day.
